Against Rape Culture. Against Slut Culture.

Slut Walk ChicagoSlut Walk is coming to IU-Bloomington next week for it’s annual demonstration against victim blaming, and Traditionalist Youth Network at Indiana University will be there, too.

The practical application of Traditionalism recognizes the necessity of empowering women to perform strong matriarchal leadership roles, and this also means that we stand up to defend women’s authority and sanctity in society.

On January 24, 2011, Toronto Police Constable Michael Sanguinetti stated, ” …Women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimized.”

Sanguinetti’s abrasive advice is what started Slut Walk, and for the record I’m glad that we have men and women speaking out against rape culture in response to him.  I’ve heard worse advice on how to prevent rape, but it’s important to recognize that rape culture didn’t just spring up out of nowhere.

The only person to blame for the violent act of rape is the rapist.  We cannot stop rape by telling the victim that he or she need to take greater responsibility for their own appearance and lifestyle choices.  We stop rape by teaching each other that it is socially and morally unacceptable to the nth degree to violate another person by raping them.

There are never any circumstances when rape is acceptable or justified, and that’s where I support Slut Walk.  That being said, I cannot fully support Slut Walk until they are able to affirm that there is an inherent good in practicing modesty and self restraint as part of a lifestyle choice.

Saying that a person is “asking for it” when he or she goes into dangerous places while dressed immodestly is almost the same as saying, “I support rape as a tool for social control.”

I am opposed to the idea of using rape as a tool for social control, but I’m also opposed to the kinds of lifestyle choices that lend themselves to the idea that a man or woman is ever “rape-worthy”.  Rapists should be ashamed of themselves for thinking that rape is ever justifiable, and women should be ashamed of themselves for using Slut Walk as an opportunity to defend immodesty and consumptive behavior as acceptable lifestyle choices.

The only way to stop rape is to teach each other that it is wrong, but there are other things that we must teach each other, too.  Opposing Slut Walk does not mean a person supports rape, it means that he or she is demanding more from both men and women alike.

  • Who?

    Happy Easter Trad Youth folks!!!!

  • Spelunker

Why are you worried about other people’s “immodesty”? Didn’t mom and dad teach you how to mind your own business? It’s not your job to police people’s behavior and tell them how to live. It’s your belief that Christianity should be thrust on everyone that is immodest. You have no right to pass judgement. You are making assumptions about people you don’t know. You oppose Slut Walk because it’s largely comprised of feminists, and you know it. I oppose you because you believe you have a right to segregate people who don’t want to be segregated.

    • MissBonnie123

      Spelunker:

You believe you have the right to forcefully integrate people who do NOT want to be integrated.

    • spunkler- Do you need TradYouth to fit your worldview so badly that you’re willing to make it up as you go or even ignore something that’s already been stated?

I have to wonder if you ever _actually_ read the articles, because if you had read this one you would have seen exactly the reason why I’m partially opposed to Slut Walk:

“There are never any circumstances when rape is acceptable or justified, and that’s where I support Slut Walk. That being said, I cannot fully support Slut Walk until they are able to affirm that there is an inherent good in practicing modesty and self restraint as part of a lifestyle choice.”

    • If you support sluttiness, immodesty, and other degenerate lifestlyes Spelunker than there is seriously something wrong with you. We all have the right to uphold moral behaviour, for ourselves and others.

Am I missing something? Black males rape 100 (in round numbers) white females every day. White males never rape black females. This problem has nothing to do with dress codes. The issue is the genetic depravity in the black. See: Negros In Negroland https://archive.org/details/negroesinnegrola00helpiala

    • There are some uncanny rape statistics when studying cross cultural incidents, but we’d be fooling ourselves if we said that rape isn’t also a problem within the White community.

Sluts are like thugs. As a thug selfishly uses his own physical strength against the weak, so a slut uses her own body to use a man’s sexuality against him. I shed no tear for any slut who gets raped as I shed no tear for someone who gets burned playing with fire.

  • Niemca

Thomas either you or another author/activist has said that men are at as great a risk for being raped by women as men.

I find that laughable, and shameful.

  • Niemca

ETA: I meant, in case you don’t catch me, that there is an inequality between men’s physical might and women’s and that to say that men need to be taken as seriously when they cry ‘Rape!?’ as women is outrageous.

I personally know two men in the pro-White movement who have claimed to have been raped. One admits he was seduced and got drunk willingly, and verbally and physically consented to her. She supplied the alcohol, refused a drink while plying him, then jumped on top of him. But he helped take his own clothes off!

I know another guy whose story is similar although somewhat more ‘rape-like,’ although even this character admits fully that he could have pushed her off of him. He ‘didn’t feel like it,’ or, ‘couldn’t muster the energy.’

Please understand that the part where your associate claims men are equal victims, in praxis or in theory, of real rape is outrageous, at least when it comes to men and women.

Without acknowledging this fact, you are simply adding more fire to the flames of both their issues and what seems to be becoming *yours.*

Men need to stop crying rape unless someone forced them physically. That would mean in almost cases another man was the perpetrator. By making false claims men only validate the insanity of ‘slutwalkers’ and totally damage the innocents, men and women both.

  • VULVA POWER

    Y SO THREATENED?

  • Well, judging by the girls in the picture at the head of the article, Id wager that even if they were throwing out their best “please come and get some” faces, I doubt theyd have much of anything to worry about. Especially the one in the damn bikini top. I mean seriously, nothing in the world should be able to prevent sexual assault like an ugly, out of shape, feminist. On an either ironic, or hilarious, side note depending on your view; has anyone else noticed that the dingbats whining about their “rights” in this case are likely the last ones that will ever have to worry about it? IN truth though, if these are the type of female having a “slut walk” I can pretty much be sure that I would be walking in the other direction. Quickly.

    • On a quick sidenote; somebody seriously needs to be holding signs that say “believe me, you’ve got nothing to worry about honey”

What I seen to day was just disgusting. I seen a small group of believers picketing an event, that is contrary to what they believe, they were mobbed by about 20 individuals from the Slut Walk. I had seen the small group on the corner before they were mobbed and they were not being aggressive in their protest of the Slut Walk, yet when those individuals who came up from the Slug Walk to confront them, were aggressive. What happened to everyone having the right for a peaceful assembly and or protest?

  • Orthodox Mike

Yikes! Some of those “womyn” need to do put their clothes back on for sure! LOL
