    Oh yeah, it’s Kievsky time!

Hey Heimbach, you might think about moving to Gainesville, Texas. Its a small town of about 16,000 (mostly White) north of DFW just south of the Oklahoma border. It has an Amtrak line that goes to Chicago, St. Louis, Little Rock, Oklahoma City, Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Los Angeles. Winstar Casino is just over the border into Oklahoma. There is a major university(University of North Texas) to the south in Denton, Texas if you want to do graduate work. You could also drive to Denton and use the Dart Rail line to get to places in the Dallas half of The Metroplex.

    • John

Forgot to say you might have an interest in its history. Google The Great Hanging.

    • JPOutlook

      Much love for Mr. Heimbach!

What about more discussions about the main concepts that make up Traditionalism? I am interested to hear sort of Cliff’s Notes on the main books that are important in the movement.

  • JPOutlook,

I’m sure they will do more shows about Traditionalism. Shows in which I participate are going to be about economic survival in these fast changing times.

We have no more financial security in the USA, and the safety net is fraying fast. It’s an emergency, really, a long emergency, and my specialization is sharing my ideas and facilitating discussion about the long emergency.

I hope you can appreciate the value of this sort of discussion. If not, there are people who do. On my website we have gathered the thrifters, the voluntary povertarians, the people living in RV’s and vans, the dumpster divers, and of course some farmers and kitchen gardeners. My commenters are acutely aware of the long emergency; they are living it already. It’s not something in the future. It’s here. But not everyeone has awakened to this reality yet.

    • JPOutlook

Sorry, friend, but something about you rubs me the wrong way… I won’t get into the gritty details, but, I will use the opportunity to re-state my original request for the gentlemen running Traditionalist Youth Network…

There seems to be a lot of name dropping among those who call themselves traditionalists. At the same time there seems to be a lot of disagreement about what is “traditional” or “traditionalist”, if you like. If, the radio shows were to tie in the central themes in their most popular books to current day events, I believe we’d be richer for it. If the shows were to get too heady or fan club, they wouldn’t be that helpful though. I’m excited that there is so much content coming from this group!

There’s a great deal of disagreement about what “Tradition” means. Personally, I think the broadest coherent definition is “Belief in something which fully transcends self.” Humanism, nihilism, the Modern spins on Christianity, and so forth invariably end up pinning the esteem of things on happiness, personal fulfillment, temporal power, or nothingness. There’s typically a good deal of obfuscation and abstraction between those whose beliefs belong in the abyss (the self belongs in the abyss without a transcendent ideal), but that’s ultimately where it leads.

Necessarily, the project is a broad one inclusive of multiple transcendent ideals. I have a specific one, and other stakeholders have their own. It’s a team project against the degenerate ideals held by our united opponents who comprise the vanguard of Modernity.

If, the radio shows were to tie in the central themes in their most popular books to current day events, I believe we’d be richer for it. If the shows were to get too heady or fan club, they wouldn’t be that helpful though. I’m excited that there is so much content coming from this group!

We’re scrambling to keep up with the unmanageable teetering pile of tasks which must be done right away, but we’ve prioritized integrating a five minute book club discussion into the show, along with a reading list for those who wish to follow along and participate in the discussion.

We’re aware of lagging a bit on delivering the Traditionalist message. We’re working on it, and it will be a central aspect of the project.
